Team News:
Firstly I would like to thank all of the children & parents for all of their hard work & commitment in each training session last season. I really enjoyed taking the sessions & I hope that everyone enjoyed taking part.
Thanks to Glynn Dalfsen and his coaches at Elite Soccer who helped get the team up and running by taking the first couple of training sessions and giving me ideas and suggestions on what to use with the children when training.
Also a big thank you to my assistant Phil (or Pip as known to the children) who has helped out with the training & has had numerous balls kicked & thrown at him during the sessions.
Lastly on last season, I gained my F.A Level 1 Coaching badge so thank you to Purley Jubilee FC for putting me forward on the course.
We have 1 year remaining before we take the step up to mini-soccer so we are looking for the hard work & commitment to continue from the children so that we can be ready for the big kick off. Although the training will focus more on building on the basics and getting more technical with drills & games we hope that the children will continue to have fun and enjoy each session.
We have a possible sponsor aswell so hopefully we will be able to bring them on board and get the financial backing required to kit the children out for the forthcoming season.
The aim of this season is to continue to have fun & train, train, train & hopefully have everyone ready for mini soccer for next year and then if ready, hopefully we will be able to have a couple of friendlies come the middle of next year so that the children can get use to playing in a game situation.
Once again thanks to all those connected to Purley Jubilee FC Under 6’s and let’s hope for another good season with the children.
Good luck to all of the other Purley Jubilee teams for new season also.
