U9’s First Ever League Win v Whiteknights 26/9/2009

Hi All
So an historic weekend for us – our first league win! Also our second clean sheet in a row.
I thought we absolutely dominated the match, apart from the breakaway towards the end of the game when the ball bounced just over Taylor’s bar I can’t really remember him having lots to do except Marshall the defence of course! Our passing was coming together and the goal came form a good move between Brandon and Kyle before Harry slotted home well from the edge of he box. We remain well organised with Leon, Jake, Ben and Brandon proving very hard to break down. Callum slotted in well when he came on for Ben and thankfully didn’t aggravate his shoulder. We need to learn to be a bit more composed in the final 3rd although at times Nathan did this.
Quick mention for H who has been a bit off form of late, he reacted well when he came off the bench (their manager “complained” that we brought him on afterwards!) and linked the play well playing off the striker be that Kyle or Nathan. He deserved his effort award which was selected by Jason.
I’m not around this Saturday but Nigel is (think Simon is) – one plea can we do our best to be at the ground half hour before the kick off so we can get the lads ready, warmed up etc –thanks!
It’s out last training session tomorrow over the rec – we start the week after (the 7th) on Wednesdays from 6.30 – 7.30 on the astro turf floodlit pitches. Please remember that the lads need to come in their new Match kit for the squad picture.
