A great team performance today with all the boys contributing to a fantastic win. It was stressed to the boys before the start to get our quick pass and move going and so we did. An early combination move involving connor, Joe, Brendan and the finishing touch from new signing Liam Ruiz 1-0. We continued to play with great style and a second followed with Brendan finishing in great style after his first shot was parried by the impressive Woodley keeper who made many fine saves. A third goal followed right on half time with Joe winning the ball on the right and played it forward to Brendan who cleverly beat his man and squared for Liam to get his second. The second half followed with yet more excellent football and another goal for debut man Liam who completed a well deserved hatrick and also two more goals for the prolific Brendan. We did become a little sloppy and could have gifted woodley a couple of goals but on the day a fully deserved win. A special mention to Woody Chapman who played in goal after spending the previous evening being sick, a great effort and didnt go unnoticed by the manager.
