U11’s continue their amazing run…

Purley Jubilee 1 – 0 Woodley Town Kestrels

Purley faced a very different Woodley Kestrels side to the one they beat 8-1 earlier in the season. Right from the start, Woodley battled well, and it was very hard for us to play our normal passing game, we went in to half time at 0-0.

We started the second half much better and were rewarded when Robert Butcher was put through on goal and did brilliantly to hold off the defender and slot the ball past the Woodley keeper.

We continued to try and play good football and always looked the more likely to score. However the Woodley keeper made some great saves and the game finished 1-0 to Purley.

The boys worked really hard and Robert Butcher won the fair play award.
