U10s Reds fired up but go down 4-3 to Cav Trents on Nov 5th

Saturday November 5th v Caversham Trents

Jubilee 3 Trents 4

This game is one that has typified our season so far. Lots of fantastic pass and move football, but we continue to leak soft goals at the back, although some credit has to go to Danny from the Trents who played very well on the day and scored all 4 Trents goals.

We started the game well, only to get caught out of position and conceded 0-1. Our game then started to come into play and we equalised through Brendan with a well taken shot 1-1. We continued to play with a great passing style, which is becoming our trademark and took the lead towards the end of the first half with a fantastic half volley from Liam Ruiz who beat the keeper superbly. However we didnt clear our lines and got caught again right at the end of the first hal, Half time 2-2.

We started the second half well again, with Joe Pilling who was a constant threat down the right hand side, jinking about 3 challenges and slotting home in the bottom corner, great goal. Then trying to play to much football we got caught playing one pass too many and Danny from the Trents picked up the ball and smashed it into the bottom corner a good goal. Then to round things off we didnt clear again and got caught with the eventual winning goal. A typical day in our season so far, the only bright point being the Trents manager saying we are the best passing team they have played, a nice comment and well appreciated.
