Purley Jubilee 2 -1 Streatley Strikers

Purley dominated the first half, but couldn’t score. Just before half time, Streatley went into the lead following a goalmouth scramble. Purley began the second half on the attack again and some excellent runs from wingers Rhys Warren and Jack Dale lead to great finishes from Robert Butcher who took his tally for the season to 13.

Purley totally dominated this game and scored three first half goals form Jack Moore (2) and Quentin Tabary. Their only crime in the second half was not adding to their lead, squandering numerous chances. The final score should really have been in double figures!

Purley began the match the first match of the day very brightly and created a
number of chances, but couldn’t break down a very stubborn and hard working
Hammers team.

ROTHERFIELD 2-0 PURLEY JUBILEE

Purley got off to the worst possible start, with Rotherfield scoring direct from
the kick off. Purley continued to battle, but Rotherfield deservedly got a
second just before half time.
The second half became stretched as Purley threw everything at Rotherfield to
try and get back into the game, but to no avail.

Defender Michael Williams was Purley’s Fair Play Award Winner.

PURLEY JUBILEE 4-0 DYNAMOS

Purley began the match very brightly and created a number of chances, but couldn’t break down a very stubborn and hard working Dynamos team.

The second half was a different matter and goals from skipper Jacob Crossley, Jack Dale, Rhys Warren and Robert Butcher continued Purley’s unbeaten run.
Credit must go to Dynamos who worked very hard, but eventually tired, which was when Purley took advantage.

Defender Tom Hopes was Purley’s Fair Play Award Winner.

Caversham started the brighter of the two sides and Purley were indebted to Goalkeeper George Baker who made a brilliant double save to keep them out.

Purley gradually grew in confidence and took the lead when Robert Butcher did well to score from an acute angle.
Purley dominated the second half with Quentin Tabary a commanding presence in the middle of midfield and created a number of chances to increase their lead.

The second goal eventually came after a superb run and finish by left winger Rhys Warren, cooly slotting past the advancing Keeper.

Purley Jubilee 1-0 Dynamos

Purley edged a very hard fought game with their third consecutive 1-0 win. All of the chances were created by Purley, but it didn’t look as though we were going to score until a brilliant corner from Rhys Warren found Captain Jacob Crossley who took one touch before rifling the ball into the roof of the net.

Goalkeeper George Baker also deserves credit as this was the eighth match this season in which he had kept a clean sheet.

Jacob Crossley was the Purley man of the match, although Tom Hopes ran him close with some surging runs from defence.

Purley faced a very different Woodley Kestrels side to the one they beat 8-1 earlier in the season. Right from the start, Woodley battled well, and it was very hard for us to play our normal passing game, we went in to half time at 0-0.

We started the second half much better and were rewarded when Robert Butcher was put through on goal and did brilliantly to hold off the defender and slot the ball past the Woodley keeper.

We continued to try and play good football and always looked the more likely to score. However the Woodley keeper made some great saves and the game finished 1-0 to Purley.

The boys worked really hard and Robert Butcher won the fair play award.

Purley came up against a Maidenhead side that had improved dramatically since the start of the season. In very difficult windy and cold conditions, Purley still tried to play the passing game which had proved so successful this season, however very limited chances for both sides resulted in both teams going into half time level at 0-0.

Purley started the second half very brightly and a great run from Jack Dale resulted in him being fouled on the edge of the box. Rhys Warren stepped up and curled the freekick into the roof of the net , just out of the despairing clutches of the Maidenhead Keeper.

Maidenhead then piled on the pressure, but the Purley defence of Jacob Crossley, Tom Hopes and goalkeeper George Baker stood firm and we held on for a very hard fought but deserved win.

Purley played some wonderful football against a hard working Goring side.
Captain Jacob Crossley was in excellent form, leading the team from defence from where a great pass found Robert Butcher whose cross was diverted into the goal by a Goring player. Purley were indebted to goalkeeper George Baker who made some great saves to keep out Goring before Quentin Tabary scored a superb second when he shot from outside the
area..
Quentin Tabary won the fair play award for Purley.
